Descriptive Essay
My first tattoo was one of the most exciting but painful moments in my
life. I like tattoos because it is a way to express yourself without
saying anything. Some people get tattoos just to get them and
they have no meaning. I think that if you get something like that it
should have some sort of meaning behind it, except for maybe your first
one because you might not no what to get. My first one means something
because it shows that I love god, basketball, and my name. I think that
is a good first tattoo.
One day I was at home thinking about tattoos. I wanted to get one but I
didn’t know what to get. I looked on the internet at some tattoos
but I still didn’t what to get. They had pictures of all kinds of
tattoos so I really couldn’t decide what to get. They tattoos of
dragons, tigers, basketballs going threw hoops with flames. I kind of
wanted a dragon because my 1988 zodiac sign is a dragon. I also wanted
some sort of basketball tattoo since I love hooping. I also seen some
tattoos of crosses that I liked. I couldn’t decide on nothing so
I just went up to the tattoo place.
When I got up to the tattoo place I grabbed some of their tattoo books.
I seen all sort of things. My sister had went with she was no kind of
help. I finally picked out a tattoo of a zodiac dragon. When I went to
tell the tattoo artist he said that I was to young to get one without a
parent signature. I had to wait until the next day because my parents
weren’t home.
When I got up there the next day he gave my dad some papers to fill out
some I could get my tattoo. We had to go to the bank so they could sign
something to. I knew I shouldn’t have went to T-Doggs I
should’ve just went to this place called Black Pearl. After we
got all the papers signed, we went back to T-Doggs. For one last time I
looked in the tattoo book and seen the tattoo I was going to get now.
It was a cross with a basketball in the middle and my name at the
bottom. I told the man that that was what I wanted and he said forty
dollars would be the cost.
When I went back there and sat in the chair I was kind of nervous but I
really wanted the tattoo so I got over it. First he drew a picture of
it and printed on my arm to see if I liked it, I said yeah. He took out
the needle and machine and got to work. When he first put the needle in
my arm I was in serious pain but I had expected worst so was ok. After
about 20 minutes of pain It was over. He gave me some greese to put on
it and he wrapped it with some tap.
