The Greatest Author in the World


          In the world there are many authors. These authors write books and poems for us to enjoy and to help educate us. The best author in the world is Maya Angelou. Maya is an extremely great author. She is a very successful writer, very talented, and is living prove that no matter what you been through , you can over come and become successful
      First of all Maya Angelou is very successful writer. Her success is shown one way in the best seller "I know Why the Cage Bird Sings". This book was her first novel, an autobiography of her life." I Know Why the Cage Bird Sings" was such a good book it was one of the books in Oprah Winfrey's book club. She has written four other books for the different stages in her life. Not only has she just written books she has also written great poems. (To be exact she started off in poetry clubs). The poem that is most famous is "Phenomenal Woman". In this poem she explains what makes a real woman. She has written more poems then that one. She has been nominated for awards for all the literature she has written. Now tell me that's not a successful writer.y great author. She is a very successful writer, is very talented, and is living prove that no matter what you been through, you can over come and become successful.


	Besides her being a successful writer, she is very talented. The awards she has won show her talented. She has won a Pulitzer Prize for the screenplay Georgia, Georgia. Also won an Emmy for her role in Roots the miniseries. Everybody would agree the most glorious award she has received is the Nobel Peace. This award would be considered the glorious award for two reasons. Reason one is that award shows the great achievement for anyone who wins this award, and reason two is that she is one of few African American Women to win this award. That's not the only thing that shows her talent. Her talent is also shown in her acting. Maya has appeared on television and film. Not only was she on Roots the miniseries, she was also the host of a thirty episode educational series produced by Coast Community College. She was on the Oprah Winfrey show to discuss one of her novels. Most recently she played a role in Tyler Perry's  "Madea 's Family Reunion". Her talent is much more than writing

Most importantly she is living prove that no matter what been through, you can over come and become successful. Due to her parents divorce she and her brother were to live with their grand mother. After five years of living with her grandmother her and her brother moved back to stay with their mother. This move would be a part of Maya life she would never forget, her mother's boyfriend raped her. After the rape she went into a withdrawal in which she refuse to talk to anyone but her brother. Her and her brother moved back with their grandmother. She began to speak again after two years with the help of a family friend.. She then moved back with her mother, but life with her mother was in constant disorder. She then tried to staying with her father, which was no better than living with her mother. At this point in her life she left her father's home and went to stay in graveyard of wrecked cars that housed many homeless children. Soon later she found herself pregnant. After some years she started performing in poetry clubs, which started her in the path to becoming a great author and person. All the obstacles that she went through before becoming what she is today shows that she is living prove.

       So many authors in the world . These authors write books for us to read and enjoy. The best author in the world is Maya Angelou. She is an extremely great author. She is a very successful author, very talented ,and is living prove that no matter what you been through ,you can over come and become successful. That what makes Maya Angelou the greatest author in the world.
