My Worse Basketball Season



My first time playing basketball I was 12. I went to a try out and I was one of the best so the coach put me on the team as a point guard. At practice I never missed any lay ups, I had the best jumper on the team, and I did not miss free throws. We had practice a few times. Our center got hurt bad he almost broke his ankle. So the first game came and I was starting as point and I had to lead the game with no center. I was dominating on the court with 20 points, 10 assist and 5 boards And I won the game 55 to 35. At practice Coach James made the teamwork hard because no one was hustling but me. He made the team run 20 sprints and then they did push ups the rest of practice. Three games later the center came back I did not have to work so hard because every one was double-teaming me. We still won the game by ten points. So we were 4 and 0 and the team was playing good. The next game we were up by 10 and I was hot. No one could stop my three pointers until I went up for a lay up and I got hit on my knees. I was out for a minute then I got back ups and wanted to fight but they would have canceled the game. After that it was hard for me to walk for a minute and I told the coach that I was OK and he let me in the game. When I got in and tried to run my knees just shut down on me and I fell. My father came and helped me up and every one started clapping for me. I could not get back in the game even though I wanted to because we lost that game. For a while I missed the games or I would just go to the game to see if we would win. I had to were a knee brace for three weeks. After those three weeks were up I cam back to the team and I was even better because I was working out. So by that time we were about 5 and 1 and when I came back we won and that made us 6 and 1. So we made it to the championship. A few games later I was kind of nervous. So once the game started I did the jump ball and I got the ball and I came down the court and ran it in for a lay up. The quarter ended with 18 21 we were up. 2nd quarter came and their defense was on point. They were doubling the canter and me so we could not do anything. And their point shot was on and he would not miss a shot for anything. And they were in the league 21 to 31. And I was upset about that because we made it to the championship and we are losing as of the best teams. But then I got back hot and we were wining 35 to 31 with 30 seconds left, and it was their ball. The point came and tried to make a lay up and got fouled. He made both of the shots and we got the ball back with 20 seconds left I was running the time down to 10 seconds.  Then point ripped me and ran down the court and hit the three pointers and then he got fouled. If he made the shot we would lose. And he made the shot and we lost. That's why this was the worse basketball season ever
