                                                             Dogs
There are many different pets. Some people like fish because they are easy to take care of. Others like cats because they pretty much take care of themselves. One of the most popular pets is a dog. Everybody should own a dog. Dogs make good company, dogs are useful, and dogs are good helpers.
First of all, dogs make good company because they are always around when a person is lonely. They can put a smile on a face if you had a hard day at work. Dogs provide needed friend ship if someone is felling sad. They can be the best friends ever had because they care about their owners. A good dog can be very gentle and responsible with children. If the owner has a good relationship with their dog it can be a good protector. Obviously, dogs can be good company.  
	Second of all, dogs are very useful they can do many things that can make life easier.  Hunting dogs can be the hunter’s best friends in the woods. They can cover much more ground than the hunter, making hunting much easier. Show dogs must be well trained so they can bring in a lot of money. Show dogs can bring a lot of happiness and excitement to the audience who watches them perform. Another useful dog is a family dog. A good family dog will play with your kids. They can be gentle and responsible with the owner’s family. Obviously, dogs are useful.
	Last of all, dogs are good helpers.  Dogs can help with many jobs like protection, guiding, and herding.  Guard dogs can provide good protection because they keep burglars away and keep their owner safe. Guide dogs are good helpers because can lead the blind safely out of harms way. Well-trained guide dogs can also help people with many disabilities. Herding dogs are another excellent helper because they can make it easier to keep track of many animals.  Herding dogs are very smart and easy to train. 
	This is why everybody should own a dog.  In the long run, dogs make excellent pets. They  make good company, are good protection, and are good helpers.
I would love to have a dog because they make good friends and are loyal. This is why I know a dog is the perfect pet for me.
