THE ODD BALL Shanieka Massey When Bow wow is getting done performing on the kids awards Romeo and his father is waiting on him backstage with his father all of sudden they began to argue. Romeo began to say why are kids treating me that way dad. They’re always picking on me at school and telling others not to talk or play with me. I’m beginning to think the whole world is beginning to dislike me. Now Romeo you know that you never let people keep you down you didn’t come to school to make friends. You don’t need no friends all friends do is get you in a bunch of trouble. Romeo asks Bow-wow calmly. “ Why are you rapping at the mouth behind my back?” said Romeo. “I’m not rapping at the mouth behind your back,” said Bow-wow. “ And talking so bad about me and my daddy” “ My song don’t have nothing to do wit me and yo daddy” “ I thought we was suppose to be straight homies .” “We are suppose to homies.” “ I want to know if it’s true.” “Why do believe rumors.” “ I don’t It’s just I got a lot of things going on.” “ You must believe them cuz you still tripping off it.” “I’m not tripping off that stuff.” “Okay” They began walk towards their cars and Romeo father begins rapping at the mouth. You know you can believe what you want said Bow-wow all that stuff you gone get is losing a friend. It seems like your son is always trying to control someone life or how they act. My son is not trying to control no ones life or how they act just trying to fit in with all yall kids at the school. The environment we came from is different from were we live now yall do thing different than we do. All my son is trying to do is learn how to do things like yall do out here so he fit in so people want think something wrong with him. You are suppose to be his friend why you just don’t teach new things. All I have to say is a true friend would tell kids to leave him along and be like just because you don’t like how he is you can’t change it. “So you are not talking about us.”Said Romeo’s dad. “ I Wasn’t talking about yall how many times am I gonna say dat.” Said Bow-wow. “ Why are you doing to yourself.” “Doing what” “Stopping you and Romeo from being friends.” “I’m not stopping us from being friends he just believing them rumors.” “Well you should start making your songs clear cuz people think you are talking about me and my son.” “Well if yall feel that way I would try to make my songs more understanding.” So everyone gets inside their cars, and began to drive off. The next day Bow- wow see Romeo in the school restroom cutting himself, his hair and just going plain crazy. The mirrors had thing written on it and they were also broke. It look like he was also trying to kill himself until Bow-wow came in. Everything that a restroom had been throws everywhere that was easy to pick up. He was doing things that I thought he would never do. He even tried to kill himself while Bow-Wow was in the restroom. Bow-Wow tried to stop him from doing so he ran to a teacher and told them what was going.
