"I Am" Poem

"I Am" Poem

I am determined and persistent.
I wonder when I will begin my training.
I hear a buzzing noise in my ear.
I see the white light that is my future.
I want to wrestle all around the world.
I am determined and persistent.

I pretend to be in the ring with one of the great wrestlers.
I feel the burn of running against the ropes on my back.
I touch the white light, but then again, I am unable to.
I worry that one-day I won’t be able to do what I love.
I cry when I am physically unable to do something that I desire to.
I am determined and persistent.

I understand that there’s a possibility of failure.
I say it doesn’t matter how bad you fail, but how well you recover from it.
I dream that I will be able to wrestle around the world as a freelancer.
I try my absolutely best to make these dreams a reality.
I hope that one day my hard work will pay off.
I am determined and persistent.
