I am beautiful and smart
I wonder how college will be
I hear a voice of direction
I see myself in the future
I want to make an impact on people’s lives
I am beautiful and smart
I pretend to have it all together
I feel Loved
I touch the door of happiness
I worry about my family
I cry when I get upset or worry
I am beautiful and smart
I understand that there is a hell and heaven
I believe in God
I dream about being happy and having no worries
I hope I attain all my goals
I am beautiful and smart
I am from the show -me state
where mostly everybody believes he say she say.
I am from peanut-butter and peanut butter sandwiches
From sliding your bed down the stairs
and rolling around in the see thru dryers.
I am from a place where using a knife to open a can is normal
From opening the fire hydrants and having pool parties
From patty-cake, Jig-a-lo and hide-n-seek
where we all add in our own flavor
I am from gelled down ponytails and glued in weave
From The Bradfords which was only the Elite
From corner stores and street pharmacist
From cereal and ham sandwiches
to Ramon noodles and chitlins
I am from getting whoop with extension cords or
anything momma could put her hands on
From OOOHH you in trouble!
or I'm gonna tell on you !
I am from being worst enemies one day and inseparable the next.
From I you fight one you fight all.
I am from Hallelujah and thank ya? Jesus
The only place that I would fit - - - Home
There once was a dog named Hue
Who loved chew on my red shoe
When he went to play
In the sun one day
And return with a shoe that was blue.
When Alley, the cat, sat
On my beautiful black hat
She left her white fur
Got sad then purred
And never wanted to come back
There lived a girl named Sally
She was young and lived and alley
She went to the store
And saw cats galore
Took one home and named her Tally
LOVE
Pure, giving
Accepting, caring, concerned
Helpful, considerate, anxiety, worry
Scared, frightened, afraid
Hesitant, doubtful
FEAR
SILENCE
Quiet, tranquil
Relaxing, calming, soothing
Peaceful, diplomatic, chaos, clamor,
Interrupting, deafening, piercing
Loud, boisterous
NOISE
The sun is shines brightly
The earth silently awaits
The coming of its light
The ground was light brown
The were carolers singing
Gaily on the curb
The leaves have fallen
The ground is wet and the air
Is filled with fog, autumn
Flowers have blossomed
Leaves have fell and grown again
Birds sing happily
A free verse is a poem where
You say anything you want
In any way you want to.
You talk about things that mean something to you
Or nothing at all
You could talk about your dog, cat, or your pet
chimpanzee
just as long as you feel free
Unlike most this is not supposed to rhyme
So you can just slow your role and take your time
Unlike you I break the rules
So this is going to go the way I want
Since I do have the freedom
Now my poem is coming to an end
I had a good time
And I hope you did as well.
What do you when you are left alone?
When you have nothing or no one to call your own
When being with just you is not enough for you
And you are so lonely that you don?t what to do.
When your friends find new friends and leave you out
And all you can do is sit back and pout
When life throws you some horrible blows
And the pain you feel inside; it never shows
When you just wish to be happy
But you end up feeling crappy
When nothing seems to go right
And your just hoping to find a light
So, what do you are left alone?
You lift up your head and sing a song
One that brings you happiness and peace
Even when it seems as if the pain won?t ever cease
Because believe it or not trouble don?t last always
And there will be brighter days
