"I Am" Poem

I am curious and brave.
I wonder why
I hear crashes
I see the light
I am curious and brave.

I pretend I’m the king of the world
I feel excited
I touch success
I worry about my life
I cry about my granny
I am curios and brave

I understand my role in life.
I say I will be a great man
I dream about the future
I try to understand my parents
I hope that I will be successful
I am curious and brave.

Diamante

Dreams
delightful, wonderful
exciting, daring, fascinating
kings, queens, monsters, giant skittles
raging, horrifying, terrifying
vicious, horrible
nightmares

Summer
humid, sweaty
swimming, surfing, camping
sunshine, heat, ice, hail
freezing, snowing, sledding
cold, white
winter

Haiku

The world is white now
Flaky snow from flaky clouds
Look forward to spring

As the wind does blow
Across the trees, I see the
Buds blooming in May

NOT FAIR

It’s not fair
I’m hungry I’m thirsty
I need to be free
Free from the work
I can hear the playgrounds calling me!
Can I just play?
Can I be a kid?
Why do I have to work?
The railroad entangles me
It’s not fair
That I can’t be a kid
I’m only ten and you treat me like I’m twenty
It’s not fair
I want to go to school and learn
Not growing up fast
My life is
Not fair
