"I Am" Poem

Haiku
English Sonnet
Rhyming Couplet
I am calm and classy
I wonder about my future
I hear the voice of god
I see the heavenly gates
I want success
I am calm and classy
I pretend to be clueless
I feel the need to help others
I touch the streets of heaven
I worry about my boyfriend
I cry for my grandmother
I am calm and classy
I understand that life is not easy
I say Jesus is my personal savior
I dream of fame and fortune
I try to achieve my goals
I hope for a glamorous lifestyle
I am calm and classy

Some burglars broke into a store,
And quickly made off with the door.
The police then gave chase,
At a desperate pace,
But quit at a quarter to four.
Nick tied a pail to a stick,
It was all a part of his trick.
He filled it with glue,
And lima beans too,
And used it to hit his friend Rick.
A mansion was teeming with thugs,
Who where making a mess on the rugs.
It seemed quite contrived,
When the owner arrived,
And gave the intruders all hugs.

A cricket disturbed
the sleeping child; on the porch
a man smoked and smiled
You are the one that is there to hold me.
You are the one that will sing me to sleep.
You are the one that consulds me.
You are the one I will forever keep.
You are the one there in times of gladness.
You are the one that's there through thick and thin.
You are the one there times of sadness.
You are the one that is my special friend.
You are the one that picks me up when I am down.
You are the one thats always conceited.
You are the one that is always around.
You are the one that is always needed.
You are the one that always cares for me
You are the one that will always love me.
A little learning is a dangerous thing;
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
There shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
And drinking largely sobers us again.
Fired at first sight with what the Muse imparts,
In fearless youth we tempt the heights of arts,
While from the bounded level of our mind,
Short views we take, nor see the lengths behind;
But, more advanced, behold with strange surprise
New distant scenes of endless science rise!
So pleased at first the towering Alps we try,
Mount o'er the vales, and seem to tread the sky,
Th' eternal snows appear already past,
And the first clouds and mountains seem the last:
The growing labours of the lengthened way,
Th' increasing prospect tires our wandering eyes,
Hills peep o'er hills, and Alps on Alps arise!
